Position: DZ Licensed Lumber Delivery Driver
Location: Port Perry, Ontario
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Compensation: $25-$28/Hr
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused DZ Licensed Lumber Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lumber and building materials to residential and commercial job sites across the GTA while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate DZ-class delivery trucks
- Deliver lumber, plywood, and building materials to customer sites
- Load and unload materials using Moffett forklift
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain delivery logs
- Secure loads properly and comply with Ontario transportation regulations
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with clean abstract
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Experience delivering lumber or construction materials is an asset
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of GTA routes and construction site safety
- Forklift or Moffett certification considered an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
